Organza bags make everything look prettier

DIY Favors Resources

The links and resources below are some places to find good deals on ribbons, favor boxes and other craft components to make your own favors.

This is not an exhaustive list by any means, but these are links and resources for vendors I have used for years and they have consistently delivered good merchandise, great service, low shipping and cheap prices.

Places to Find Ribbon, Organza Bags and Beads, etc.

Fabric Barn- in Long Beach. Go in person to this one-more ribbon than you can imagine. Lots of favor boxes and some trims as well. The prices are also super cheap and they do printed ribbon as well!

Shinoda Design Center- in Santa Ana (wholesale only)-has all kinds of upscale ribbon for great prices. Many, many vases, silver urns and other items that look stunning on reception tables, for great prices.

PaperMart - Online only; they have a lot of good packaging, ribbon and other items at very good prices. Additionally, if you live in Los Angeles, you can go pick up from their warehouse and save on shipping. They also have their own delivery truck that will drive orders to you (in L.A. only ) for a very reasonable cost, typical within one business day.

Michael's crafts

Joanne's crafts

Moskatel's - 733 San Julian St (between 7 and 8 Street), Los Angeles, California, 90014 (no website). Super huge - amazing amount of stuff. They have a whole wedding section with many different types of candle holders, centerpiece containers, flower stands, ribbons, etc. They sell retail and wholesale.

Favor Boxes

Create For Less- find small paper mache boxes, perfect for many types of favors, here.

Also, both Fabric Barn and PaperMart (both mentioned above) have favor boxes.

Trims

Beads Factory or any of the many trim and bead houses in downtown L.A. in the garment district. Trims are any type of bead, rhinestone, ribbon or other item that you can add on to favor boxes, organza bags, and more. You can find inexpensive beads to make your own necklaces and bracelets for bridesmaid gifts. Look for great prices on flat-backed rhinestones for favor boxes, invitations or a monogrammed cake topper.

Baskets, Especially for Centerpieces

Coe & Dru- Best for buying in bulk - 36 pieces or more. This company offers a wide variety of baskets in many shapes and sizes. You can buy wholesale or retail. If you want baskets that are different than what you have already seen at every other wedding, this is the place to go. They can also paint the baskets any color for you; get a price quote from them first. They have a showroom so you can go in and see exactly what the baskets look like, their size, etc.

Soaps, Essential Oils, Lotions and More

Essential oils - eBay is a great place to go for these. There are several sellers who do large volumes of business on eBay and they will give you really good deals, especially if you give them repeat business.

Camden Grey- My favorite. They have everything and usually have at least a few good sales going on.

Bulk Soap Loves - The Soap Guy- Lots of scents, great colors, nice handmade soap for really great prices.

Lotion base, loose herbs, essential oils, and more - Soap crafters - great prices, staff are very helpful

Bottles, Jars, Spray Tops and More

Specialty Bottle - huge selection of different bottles and other dispensers. This is the place to go if you want to make favors such as bottled bath salts, linen sprays or anything else that you can put into a cute little bottle.

Soothe Your Soul This is the place to go if you live in Los Angeles and don't need to order in bulk. If you just want a few spray bottles, lotions bottles, etc. to do some favor prototypes, they have them here. They also carry many bulk herbs, soap making supplies, and tons of other stuff. This is a walk-in store that I truly love (instant stress relief the minute you walk in-not kidding) and they saved me many times when I had order deadlines and was short a few ounces of essential oils, lotion base, or bottles. Great staff too.

If you have great supply resources to share, please leave them in the comments. Thanks!
